The Land of the Fanns team in partnership with Discover ME invites intrepid explorers, history buffs and the plain curious to board Daisy, a vintage Route Master on Saturday 3 August to take a tour of the fascinating history hiding in plain sight in the Land of the Fanns.

The route starts at and returns to Valance House, the 15th century moated manor house that is now a local history museum in Barking and Dagenham. Daisy’s route for the day takes in the following historic buildings: Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge, Ilford Hospital Chapel, Eastbury Manor House, where the tour stops for lunch and finally Valence House Museum.

The tour departs from Valence House Museum, Becontree Road, Barking and Dagenham at 10am and returns here at approximately 4pm. Due to the nature of the tour and the vintage transport, sadly no dogs or buggies can be accommodated.
